Nicholas Chretien

Nicholas Chretien

Executive Director

Nick Chretien is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of EAG. Nick’s work has focused on launching the Commercial Property Revitalization program (CPR), a small-scale commercial development program, and advancing EAG’s services to its Anchor Partners.

Presently, Nick serves on the City of Youngstown’s Design Review Committee and the Board of Directors of the Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association. Previously, he has worked with other non-profits and philanthropic organizations in the Mahoning Valley, was a member of the Raymond John Wean Foundation’s Resident Council and Emerging Leader Program, and was recognized by the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals as a 25 Under 35 Honoree in 2017. 

Nick has a BSBA in Finance from Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration and a Master’s Degree of Public Administration from Cleveland State University’s Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. Nick lives in Youngstown’s Rocky Ridge Neighborhood with his wife Morgen and 3 dogs.

Daniel Bancroft

Operations Manager

Daniel is the Operations Manager of the Economic Action Group, Inc. (EAG) and started with the organization as an intern in 2018. Daniel’s work with EAG focuses on the day-to-day management of the organization, supervising interns within the EAG Community-Engaged Learning Program, and supporting Partnerships.

Daniel graduated from Youngstown State University in 2020 with a BA in Geography, a minor in Nonprofit Leadership, and a Certificate in GIS. He has been involved with several other nonprofits in the region and was a member of The Raymond John Wean Foundation’s Resident Council and Emerging Leader Program. He led revitalization and public art projects during college as President of YSUscape. Daniel currently resides in Hubbard with his wife Alyssa.

Development Director

Marcelle holds a doctorate in history from West Virginia University, and a M.A. and B.S. from YSU. She began providing the Economic Action Group, inc. with her expertise in 2023.

As the Development Director at the Economic Action Group, she oversees fundraising activities, manages grants, and develops comprehensive strategies to support our mission.

Marcelle leverages her experience as a former site manager and historian to enhance project planning and provide valuable context for community development initiatives, while collaborating with team members to align development efforts with organizational goals and ensure compliance with best practices.  

Gianna Marinucci

CITY Site Coordinator

Gianna works as CITY Site Coordinator for EAG. She began in the summer of 2022 as a seasonal employee, then worked as a Program Manager. Gianna is also a high school math teacher.

Nicole Marino

CPR Project Coordinator

Nicole joins EAG as Project Coordinator for the Commercial Property Revitalization (CPR) program. Building on years of community engagement projects through a variety of groups in the Northeast Ohio area–most recently as Director of Outreach and Education at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor–she enjoys connecting with the community in her position.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the YSU Master’s program in Applied History, Nicole has spent the last decade generating meaningful events. Combining her academic training, practical experience, financial background, and event management experience as a Convention Coordinator, she has successfully launched and assisted in facilitating numerous successful events. She spends her time coaching track & field, gardening, visiting farmers markets, and swimming.

Kennedy Kish

Marketing Manager

Kennedy graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Dayton in 2024 with a major in Communication and a minor in Marketing. Her role as EAG’s Marketing Manager largely consists of social media, designing marketing materials, photography, and videography.

In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and cross stitching. Kennedy was born and raised in Youngstown, and now resides in Austintown.

Ben Kerr

Graphic Design

Ben started interning with EAG in the spring of 2019. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University (2020), with a BFA in Graphic and Interactive Design. His role as Graphic Designer consists of stylizing and maintaining websites for EAG and our partners, along with creating renderings of potential redevelopment opportunities.

Prior to his start at EAG, Ben worked outside of his field as well as designing on a freelance basis.

Ben was born in Youngstown and raised in nearby Hubbard, Ohio. In his free time, Ben enjoys binge-watching movies and shows, going on trips with friends, and spending time with his family.

Danielle Griffith

GIS Analyst

With an academic background from Youngstown State University focusing on Biology and Geographic Information Systems coupled with a specialized certification in Geospatial Science and Technology, Danielle serves as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at EAG. In this capacity, she applies her expertise in spatial analysis, cartography, and visual data interpretation to develop detailed analyses, reports, and infographics that assist with data-driven decision-making efforts. 

Outside of work, Danielle is passionate about the outdoors, often kayaking or fishing in local waters, gardening, and spending time with her dog, Cooper, and cat, Tucker.

Sarah Streb

Technical Media Intern

Sarah is the Technical Media Intern at EAG. She is a senior at Youngstown State University majoring in Multimedia Communications and has a certification in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Sarah’s work at EAG includes video editing, social media management and business outreach for the YO! App, 3D modeling and printing, graphics work, and various technical tasks.

In her free time, Sarah is active in amateur radio, various media jobs on campus, and working on her rock band.

Graphic Design Intern

Gio is currently enrolled in YSU’s Graphic and Interactive Design track. He has experience working for Graphic Services at YSU and assists EAG in general graphic design projects to promote various programs.

CITY Program Support Intern

Jayanta is a CITY STEM Support Intern at EAG. He is a sophomore at Youngstown State University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Jayanta is a Member of Baja Team in YSU and a member of the radio club. He also works in YSU housing and Residence life.

CITY Program Support Intern

Grace is a lifelong resident of Youngstown, currently attending YSU as an Anthropology major. She maintains her community involvement through outreach and social activism. Using her prior experience as an intern for the Civic Innovation Transforming Youngstown (CITY) program, she will serve as a mentor for incoming interns and assist coordinators with the program’s execution.

Yanvitha Gottipati is a Computer Science Intern at EAG and is studying Computing and Information Systems at Youngstown State University. She is actively gaining practical experience in her field while pursuing her degree. In her free time, Yanvitha enjoys relaxing walks.

Business Assistance Intern

Nicky, a Nigerian native, is the Business Assistance Intern at EAG and is studying Finance with a minor in Political Science at Youngstown State University. She is very active on campus and holds several leadership opportunities, including being President of the African and Caribbean Students Union.

At EAG, Nicky assists EAG with EAG programs, the City of Youngstown’s YO! app, and community partnerships throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Nicky enjoys hanging out with friends and family, reading books, and rambling about Afrogospel.
